Team Manitoba wins 22 medals at 2012 Skills Canada National Competition!

A Manitoba delegation of 100 cheered “TOBA, TOBA” as 24 high school, college, and young apprentices took to the podium claiming 8 gold, 6 silver and 8 bronze medals at the Olympic-style Skills Canada National Competition held in Edmonton, Alberta on May 13 – 16, 2012.

The 62 member team earned the right to represent Manitoba at the Skills Canada National Competition by earning a gold medal in their respective trade or technology area at the Provincial Skills Competition.

Congratulations to all members of Team Manitoba. They represented their province well!

Three members of Team Manitoba also qualified to represent Canada at the World Skills Competition in July 2013 in Leipzig, Germany. Jacob Bell will compete in Bricklaying, Dylan Pereira will compete in Aircraft Maintenance and Ingrid Wieler will compete in I.T. Software Solutions for Business.
