Important update on the Skills Manitoba Competition

April 5, 2023

Unfortunately, due to the pending strike at RRC Polytech, we are unable to host the Skills Manitoba Competition at RRC Polytech on April 13, 2023.

As stated by RRC Polytech, “Given the complexity and resources involved in delivering the Skills Manitoba Competition, this is an essential course of action to ensure that the Skills Manitoba Competition can successfully happen independently from the bargaining process at RRC Polytech.”

The competitions that are being hosted off site on April 13, 2023 will continue to run….( MITT and Sisler High School)

We will host as many of the remaining competitions as possible, at alternate locations, throughout the city over the next 3 weeks.

We will be in touch with everyone involved as we proceed to make alternate arrangements.

Once we have the dates and locations for the remaining competitions , we will advise immediately.

We respect our stakeholders and everyone involved in making the Skills Manitoba Competition a reality year after year. We are eternally grateful as the student experience has always been first and foremost. Thank-you!

Once again, please accept our sincere regrets.
