2016 Extreme Sledding Competition Results

Skills Canada Manitoba, and the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology hosted the Annual Extreme Sledding Competition at MITT on Wednesday, February 17, 2016.
Fifty, Grade 7 – 9 students from across Manitoba spent the morning constructing a human drawn sled with cardboard, 2 x 4’s and duct tape. The students then braved the elements on a very cold day to race their sled around a course.
Results from the day are as follows:

Best Decorated/Visual Appeal Award
“Trail Blazin’ Tigers” – St. John’s High School

Best Design/Construction Award
“Cougar Power” – Carmen Collegiate

Best Time Award
“Chris N the Boyz” – Nelson McIntyre Collegiate
