University College of the North to host Northern Manitoba Skills Challenge

University College of the North will be hosting The Northern Manitoba Skills Challenge for High school and Post-Secondary competitors  on February 24, 2016 in The Pas and on March 3, 2016 in Thompson.
Students will compete in a variety of areas including Welding, Carpentry and Public Speaking. An information package may be found on this website under Competitions and then under the Skills Manitoba Competition. The deadline for registration is February 10, 2016.
Gold medalists from this regional competition will then travel to Winnipeg to compete in the Skills Manitoba Competition which will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Red River College.
Gold medalists from the Skills Manitoba Competition are then eligible to compete as a member of Team Manitoba at the Skills Canada National Competition to be held in Moncton, New Brunswick from June 5 – 8, 2016.
