2019 Results – Cardboard Boat Races

60 students from across Manitoba showed off their amazing skills and creativity at the 13th Annual Cardboard Boat Race on December 4, 2019. Students constructed a boat using two sheets of cardboard and a few accessories including duct tape and contact cement. Once completed, the teams spent the afternoon testing their boats in both a race and a weight challenge in the pool.
Winning boats were as follows;
Construction/Design Award – Sisler High School – “White Out”

Best Time Award – Churchill High School – “Buoyant Bulldog Boat Builders”

Best Held Weight – Seven Oaks MET School

Best in Class – Tec Voc High School – “Wave Check”

1st to Sink Award – JH Bruns Secondary School

Team Spirit Award – Murdoch Mackay Collegiate – “Pirates of the Pool”
